The Value of a Limited Edition Print
An artwork, in whatever media, is the unique work of an artist and, as it is the only copy in existence, has its own value. A print made of the artwork cannot, of course, have the same value as the original but if the artist limits the number of prints made, signs and numbers them, the prints achieve value because of their scarcity and, as the years pass, it is possible that their value will increase.
